The 8 Core Principles of Exceptional Leaders is a great piece posted by Fia Gosling on the Vistage blog. It’s refreshing to read a no-nonsense, hyperbole-free article about how to lead a group of people and the importance of respecting individuals. In my earlier days, I always held leaders that showed respect to their subordinates in higher esteem than the autocrats that think they have a right to be revered and respected just because of their role. Sorry, I don’t buy that and treating my colleagues, no matter what their position, with respect and dignity has worked for me so far and I intend to continue in this vein.
