10 Tips for Improving Your Memory
This is a great article from Inc.com to help people like me that have on occasion, trusted memory only to have it let them down. I learned from this many moons ago and now make a point of trying to write things down and also using creative mnemonics to remember things – and the amazing thing is, it works!!
Several years ago now, I attended a training programme and among the takeaways, was a demonstration of how to remember a string of numbers by replacing them in the mind with specific images that linked together in an abstract picture. It was great fun and to this day, I still remember the replacement of 5 with a swan and 1 with a pen. Simple, but very effective!
